Kim Killian is Managing Partner of Surrey Partners. Prior to founding Surrey, she served as the enterprise Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Sales rainmaker at Messina Group, Inc., helping middle market Private Equity firms and their portfolio company leadership teams accelerate value creation at every stage of the Mergers & Acquisitions lifecycle. She also served as Chief Revenue Officer for their Business Transformation Consulting practice, catalyzing the practice to successfully grow at scale.
Equipped with third-generation entrepreneur DNA and more than 25 years of experience as a successful Sales rainmaker with strategic Sales, Marketing, and Strategy leadership roles with various B2B companies ranging from Fortune 500 to “re-starts” and startups, Kim has developed extensive expertise guiding CEOs in brand and revenue growth strategies, operational efficiencies, organization development, go-to-market initiatives, risk management, and digital transformation.
Her unique and visionary perspective paired with a deep understanding of the M&A investment lifecycle helps her build, scale, and accelerate revenue growth for fast-growing companies in a variety of industries often sponsored by Private Equity - including Professional Services, Technology, Food & Beverage, and Healthcare.
Kim also co-founded ibex Healthdata Systems which created the PulseCheck™ patient data & analytics platform in anticipation of the passage of the federal HIPPA and HCFA (now CMS) healthcare regulations. PulseCheck was the first-ever web-based Emergency Department Electronic Medical Record (EMR), which grew to a full Emergency Department Information System (EDIS). As head of Sales, Marketing, and Strategy, she established the firm’s business foundation, GTM and pricing strategies. She recruited and led the national sales team, sourced the Angel Investor/COO, and helped guide the company to grow and scale from a napkin idea to a leading national brand with a successful exit. Kim served on the company’s Board of Directors from inception through acquisition.
Kim enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing every racquet sport (tennis is #1, paddle tennis is a close second, pickle is fun, and padel is next!), gourmet meals, and riding horses.
The Surrey Partners logo was designed with intent and purpose.
Our logo communicates a powerful promise through its thoughtfully chosen visual elements. Each component works together to express our commitment to guiding ambitious business leaders toward sustainable growth.
The contrasting deep navy background and vibrant yellow create an immediate visual impact that
symbolizes the transformation Surrey Partners delivers.
The navy represents stability, professionalism, and deep expertise—qualities that form the foundation of trusted advisory relationships. This dark backdrop suggests the complex business challenges that CEOs often navigate.
The bright yellow elements bring energy, optimism, and illumination—symbolizing how Surrey Partners cuts through complexity to provide clarity and direction. Yellow traditionally represents intellectual energy, innovation, and prosperity—precisely what their client CEOs seek.
This color combination suggests that Surrey Partners brings light to challenging situations while maintaining unwavering professionalism.
The three stylized pine trees are a thoughtful metaphor
for growth and development.
Trees are universal symbols of strength, resilience, and upward progress—qualities essential for fast-growing companies. The simplified, geometric pine trees communicate several powerful messages:
The font choices create a sophisticated balance between tradition and modernity. The serif font used for "Surrey Partners" conveys established expertise, trustworthiness, and an earned heritage in the advisory space.
The elegant letter forms suggest refined thinking and attention to detail.
In contrast, the sans-serif, all-caps treatment of "ACCELERATE GROWTH" brings a contemporary, action-oriented energy to the logo.
This typographic approach reinforces that Surrey Partners combines timeless business wisdom with forward-thinking strategies suitable for today's dynamic business environment.
This concise, powerful tagline communicates the core promise of Surrey Partners with clarity. The use of "accelerate" is particularly significant—it implies that client companies are already growing, but Surrey Partners provides the expertise to increase that growth velocity.
This represents firm’s position as a catalyst rather than a savior, appealing to successful CEOs who seek enhancement rather than rescue.
The direct imperative form of the tagline speaks with confidence and authority, embodying the decisive leadership qualities that resonate with executive decision-makers. It’s both a statement of how we help, and a call to action.
Together, these elements tell a cohesive story: Surrey Partners provides the stable foundation, clear direction, and proven methodologies that enable ambitious companies to grow faster and more sustainably than they could alone. The logo visually reinforces that with Surrey Partners' guidance, companies can reach new heights while remaining grounded in sound business principles.
For CEOs navigating the challenges of rapid growth, this identity communicates that Surrey Partners understands their journey and offers the rare combination of established wisdom and innovative thinking needed to accelerate value creation in today's complex business landscape.
